14.00 Drop anchor in Garnish bay, wet and windy but well protected

Thursday 21st June - Garnish anchorage
09.30 SW 2 Overcast, front passed over between 04.30 & 09.00
Walk over to Dursey sound - sheep dogs working.
14.30 Weigh anchor, S 2/4, rain, Main + Genoa
16.30 Drop anchor in Derrynane after usual exciting entry with swell running
18.30 Motor further into harbour, pick up a mooring
22.20 WxS 4, another front moving thru ?

Friday 22nd June - Derrynane mooring
09.00 SWxW 3/4, sun, Release mooring, motor then sail out of harbour, Main + Genoa
12.30 SW 4/5 (6)(7), drop anchor in Glaneam bay (Valentia harbour)
windy (wet) downwind sail after Puffin island
Leach line ripped out almos entire length of leach. Genoa would not come down.
Top foil separated, then some help up the mast from neighboring boat sorted it.
Log 26.9 miles in 3.5 hours ~ 7.7 knots
Saturday 23rd June - Valencia, Glaneam bay anchorage
09.00 WxS 3/4, Weigh anchor, much weed accounted for earlier dragging, Motor+main
11.00 WxS 4/5, Motor sailing, approaching Blasket sound, Genoa below awaiting repair
12.40 Drop anchor in Smerwick harbor for lunch, more sun than showers
13.26 Weigh anchor, W 3/4, overcast, continue towards Fenit
16.45 WNW 4/5, invetigate Barrow harbour, abandon due to f/c and shallow water
18.15 WNW 4/5, tie up in Fenit marina. Check top section of forestay foil - re-assemble !
Log 47.3 miles in 7.5 hours ~ 6.3 knots (re-calibrate log to 1.32)
Continue with pasages up the West coast
